With their Autumn/Winter 2017 collection „Symbiosis“ the designer duo STEINROHNER presented at Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week in Berlin, Inna Stein and Caroline Rohner proved their feel for avant-garde fashion and upcoming trends.

Playful designs between fashion and art like heavy velvet-culottes with pearl embellishments, transparent tops with applications, coats made from mohair, wide flared skirts, soft turtlenecks, pleated trousers quilted jackets and striped dresses were to see on the runway. Those shiny longitudinal and quarrelling stripes were also up on tops and trousers.

Inspired by the structures of lichens, the collection takes us on a journey through the aesthetics of pearls and fringes of the glorious 20s. This touch of glamour gets completed by pearls, applications and glittering over knee boots.

Nature is a great inspiration for the two, who met each other during their Fashion Design Studies at KHB Berlin and so the lichens were prepared by the help of laser cut technologies to print them on velvet.

With their designs, they make fashion statements at the cutting edge of haute couture and wearability. And since their fashion is young and cool, the audience was too. Creating a new style beyond conventions, Steinrohner creates tight silhouettes as well as wide ones and is not afraid to put something sensual into the designs, by the help of transparency with applications.

Beside the stripes and floral patterns, the collection´s colour scheme waived on flashy colours. Instead wintery, mat colours like navy blue, black and brown predominated.

Symbiosis allows a kind of visual expedition on the female body, containing everything we need in a cold winter season: Warm clothing and style.
