Anyone who expected a surprise, was reassured by EWA HERZOG at the Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Berlin. She showed delicate and feminine fashion with a rather clean line. The new collection is full of extremely delicate lace and cheeky details like low back lines.
She took her designs from the 50s into the future and presented loosely fitted and high waisted pants made out of silk in icy blue and pale green. Blouses, fitted close to the body and with high collars were covered in blossoms. The knee-high plain green dress with beige floral lace worn by a model with wavy hair in combination with the feather hat, makes the audience think of strong women.
Voluminous shaped pullovers made out of floral lace have a touch of fragility. Adding a tulle skirt to this ensemble makes the outfit look effortless and light. The mostly pale and light colour option like light green, purple, brown and a shimmers of gold mirrored the lightness. As a contrast to these she used deep black and blue.
To finish the collection dazzling white floor and mini length fairytale-dresses float over the runway. The highlight is a thigh high lace gown made out of wool.
The Autumn/Winter 17 collection is quite feminine yet it shows tough and beautiful women showing a lot of skin, but never too much, by combining floral elements and lace with tough silhouettes.
